Mariusz is an outstanding expert in technology, media and telecommunications law, as well as in competition law, copyright and internet law. He is a Partner and Head of our Telco Team.
Mariusz acquired his specialist experience in the course of a range of legislative work, including work on draft acts and secondary legislation covering information and communications technologies (ICT), media and telecommunications.
He completed legislative training at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland and was responsible for the roll-out and launch of the Public Information Bulletin IT system while working in the Polish National Broadcasting Council. He was involved in legislation processes in the Office of Electronic Communications (formerly the Office of Telecommunications and Post Regulation), and later he was responsible, as Vice Director of the Spectrum Management Department, for legal and procedural aspects of radio frequency spectrum management, including the issue of radio permits.
As if this were not already sufficient recommendation, Mariusz is the Vice Chairman of the Personal Data Protection and Information Management Committee and an expert in electromagnetic fields (EMF) at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications, as well as a member of the Council of the National Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications on behalf of the Intellectual Property Protection Section.
He also gained experience working for the European Commission, the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
Mariusz is a graduate of Law and Administration and European Law at Warsaw University, as well as the Intellectual Property Law Institute of the Jagiellonian University and Cambridge University.
